Ticket to Work

This free, voluntary program lets beneficiaries pursue employment with protections in place, including continued benefits and Medicare while you transition. It’s designed to remove the fear of trying.

Report your work

Always report work and earnings to the SSA. Failing to report can create overpayments you’ll have to repay. When in doubt, document and disclose.

Get advice before you start

The work rules are among the most confusing in the system. A quick conversation before you take a job can protect benefits you’ve worked hard to secure.
